About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all services provided by Young Filmmakers Club ("we", "our", or "us") including courses, workshops, events, and related activities.

By booking our services or participating in our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Definitions

"Services" means all courses, workshops, events, and activities provided by Young Filmmakers Club
"Participant" means any child or young person enrolled in our services
"Parent/Guardian" means the adult with parental responsibility for the Participant
"Session" means individual classes or workshop periods
"Course" means a series of sessions over a defined period

Bookings & Payments

Booking Process

All bookings must be made by a Parent/Guardian
Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment
We reserve the right to refuse bookings at our discretion
Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis

Payment Terms

Payment is required in advance of course commencement
We accept bank transfers and card payments
Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice
Late payment may result in suspension from sessions

Cancellations & Refunds

Our Cancellations

We may cancel sessions due to insufficient bookings, illness, or unforeseen circumstances
Full refunds will be provided for sessions we cancel
We will provide as much notice as possible
Alternative dates may be offered where possible

Your Cancellations

More than 14 days before start: Full refund minus £10 administration fee
7-14 days before start: 50% refund
Less than 7 days before start: No refund
After course starts: No refund for remaining sessions

Exceptions may be made for medical emergencies or exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

Participant Requirements

Age & Eligibility

Participants must be aged 11-17 years
Special needs and requirements should be disclosed at booking

Behaviour & Conduct

Participants must follow instructor guidance and club rules
Respectful behaviour towards staff and other participants is required
Disruptive behaviour may result in suspension or exclusion
Parents/Guardians are responsible for their child's behaviour

Health & Safety

Medical conditions and allergies must be disclosed
Participants must follow all safety instructions
Emergency contact details must be kept up to date
We reserve the right to refuse participation if safety is compromised

Intellectual Property & Media

Student Work

Young Filmmakers Club retains rights to all creative work and ideas produced during sessions
Students may use their work for personal purposes with appropriate permission
All projects created during club activities become club intellectual property
We respect and protect student creativity while maintaining ownership rights

Photography & Filming

Written consent is required for all photography and filming
Images may be used for promotional purposes with permission
Participants and parents can request removal of images
We follow strict guidelines for child protection in media

Liability & Insurance

Our Liability

We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance
Liability for losses is limited to the fees paid for services
We are not liable for loss or damage to personal property

Your Responsibilities

Parents/Guardians are responsible for their child's safety and wellbeing
Participants must follow all safety instructions and guidelines
Any damage caused by participants may be charged to parents
Personal belongings are brought at own risk

Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection laws. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.

General Terms

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website and will apply to future bookings. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Young Filmmakers Club.
